Fortake's Penny, JC, ORC, CGC
"Pete"

Button's Blitz, JC, CGC, TDI
"Jade"

Pete and Jade came to us in November of 1994.
They were both racing professionaly in New England prior to their retirement.

Pete and Jade both have their JC (Junior Courser) titles with the American Kennel Club
and Pete is an ORC (Oval Track Racing Champion) with the National Oval Track Racing Association.
(It is not a professional racing club,it is made up of amateur racers.)

When Greyhound racing started in the
United States they used to have jockeys!

Jade is obedience trained through the Open Level and has one leg towards her Canadian CD (Companion Dog Title). She prefers social activities to obedience competition and is a registered and was a working Social Therapy Dog with Therapy Dogs International (TDI). I think she loves lounging in the sun the best!

YES! you can teach a Greyhound to sit!

Jade will turn 16 years old on July 2, 2005!

Sadly we lost our beloved "Goofy Pete" to Osteosarcoma
on August 31, 2004 - 3 months shy of turning 15 years of age.
I thank God for allowing this extremely sensitive and loving creature to be apart of our lives for 11 years.
I am sure that he is in Heaven with Dakota....

Check out the Bones and Raw Food diet page to learn about their diet

Check out our Retired Racing Greyhound adoption links. Please consider adopting a retired racer. They make wonderful friends! You won't regret it!
